Chapter 108 is the hundred-eighth chapter of Yuki Suetsugu's Chihayafuru.
Taichi begins to question his reason for being in the qualifiers as his first match begins. While his mother fumes outside the tournament venue, Sumire tries to get to her good side at first. But as the next match begins, she has a change of heart and tells Mrs. Mashima that Taichi is playing to be his own person.
In Shigureden Museum in Kyoto, Chihaya is so distracted that she's missing out on the field trip. Her friend Michiru calls her out on her attitude, and she apologizes and begins to enjoy the outing. Then, meeting Kanade, Chihaya begins to realize something about Taichi....

- Shigureden Museum is in Arashiyama District in Kyoto. It was founded by the Kyoto Chamber of Commerce and Industry as part of a plan to promote the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu.
- Nintendo had a huge part in Shigeruden's creation. It was funded by former Nintendo president Hiroshi Yamauchi with ¥2.1 billion from his own funds. Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto helped oversee its exhibits, which used special Nintendo DS units for navigation.
- Nintendo started as a playing card company, and still sells uta-garuta cards.
